My entire career has been committed to issues that affect women and girls – first with the Eleanor Foundation, and now with Chicago Foundation for Women. This is not an accident. My interests and studies have centered around the lives of women, how they have contributed to society, and too often how they have been blocked from fully participating in their communities.
As the Program Officer at CFW, I have the opportunity to further my passion by working with grantee organizations and individuals directly connected to communities. Together, we identify the issues and develop strategies to address disparities. Understanding the landscape allows CFW to make better and more strategic grant awards, which improves women’s lives and ultimately the communities they live in.
